Lawn mowing during Florida rainy season

Short answer
During Florida's rainy season (roughly June through September), grass grows fastest and afternoon storms are common. Mow when turf is dry enough to cut cleanly, usually earlier in the day, and expect occasional rain delays that shift a visit by a day or two.
Why wet mowing is a problem
Wet clippings clump, blades tear instead of cut, and heavy mowers can rut soft soil. A torn blade browns at the tip and is more open to disease.
